On the far side of the lake, this mainly coniferous forest looms tall, gloomy, shrouded with mist, and a bit ominous-looking; so very different from its brighter, and so much more inviting, sister forest, the Mellovea Woodland. Although none of the myths or skeptic remarks have ever proved true, many still think Liness Forest is withholding some dark, calamitous secret, clutching it close and vowing to never let anyone discover everything it has. Because of this, very few enjoy the mysterious, yet beautiful, scenery of the Liness.
Lush green pines, evergreens, and other coniferous trees and foliage are the main vegetation of this timber, and, thanks to the nearby Vertlyn River, they grow tall, strong, and thick. Throughout the Liness you're bound to find small pools of water fed by underground springs, very common in Escandea, along with a few streams scattered here and there. Despite what you may think, due to the rather dark landscape, the Liness is known for having a vast amount of prey and especially delicious, sweet water.
