Lush. Green. Sunny. Fragrant. Inviting. Mellovea Woodland is all of these things, along with being the complete opposite of its neighboring timber, Liness Forest. Birdsong fills the air at all times during the day, and flowers bloom along the bases of trees, in bright clearings, and along the edges of paths worn down by many a creature's tread. Creeks criss-cross the timberland, lightening the air with their bubbling laughter as water falls over smooth river stone. Mellovea Woodland is, obviously, the better choice for strolls amongst the trees, and how much more often it is chosen over Liness Forest speaks for itself.
Despite its evident beauty, prey isn't found as often here as it is in Liness Forest due to so many other creatures, especially wolves, roaming around. Even so, prey is plentiful throughout all of Escandea, including high-traffic areas such as this one. Deer frolic in the meadows, hares hop lazily throughout the wood, and rodents scurry about, collecting seeds and plump berries. It seems, despite the danger of predators, that no creature can resist the beauty of Mellovea Woodland for very long.
