| BAYLISK Just outside of Escandea's sky-scraping mountains lies a vast ocean; the pack calls the area Baylisk. Each winter, the surface of the humongous body of water freezes over with sea ice. Seals give birth on that ice, and polar bears roam upon it as they arrive from their summer home in deeper Alaska. Pups are encouraged to stay away from the mighty ocean, however fun it might seem, and during winter and early spring it is often a chore for the Yunns, trying to keep the younglings away from the dangerous ice where polar bears prowl. But for the Scadi and Kirini, it's an entirely different story. The bests and most well-trained of the Scadi can sniff out a seal hole, a broken area of the ice, and lead the Kirini to it. That's when the fun begins! The stronger of the Kirini can take a few seals, feeding the pack even when winter seems to be at its worst.
During summer, the ocean is a beautiful blue-green color, gently lapping at the sandy shore or crashing violently into cliffsides a few miles away. The sunset it stunning and many come to frolic on the shore, splash in the water, have a conversation or two, and at times, just a stroll. Prey isn't very common here, since you can't drink the ocean's salty water and there's no form of food except tough, dry plants, so don't expect to catch anything at Baylisk unless it's winter! |

| Talon carefully made his way ove the ice, he gritted his teeth as he jumped onto another piece of ice, he steadied himself before he slipped and searched for the next path he could take

| Ariving a Baylisk was a shock for Zarina, as she had never seen this amount of sea-ice before. Eventually, the shock rolled away, and excitement filled her as she bounded down the beach to the closest slab of ice she could see. As soon as she bounced onto the ice, it bobbed dangerously, bleeding away some of Zarina's enthusiasm. Standing stock still while the slab settled, Zarina learnt to be more careful on her journey across the sea-ice. Before long, Zarina could tell quickly which pieces were safe to stand on and was soon fairly far out to sea. A polar bear lumbered along on a distant piece of sea-ice. Zarina stopped to stare at this creature so new to her. It, too, stopped to look at her, but lazily dismissed her and continued on it's lethargic way, Zarina's stare following it's path. The polar bear ventured back towards the beach, where another creature caught her eye. A brown and white dot on the beach, beginning to follow the trail that she herself had just taken. Doubling back and crouching low to the ice to try to hid herself from him at a distance, she went in search of a suitble spot to lie in wait.
Hiding behind a chunk of ice, Zarina waited for Talon to jump onto her piece of ice, grinning widely. When he did and began searching for the next safe piece, Zarina jumped out from behind the chunk and barked once so loud, a slight echo rippled across the ice. "Ha, ha! Gotcha!" She joyously cried.

| Talon slipped and fell on his flank "ouch" he replied. He rolled over and said "were you trying to do that?" The big male asked, his eyes showed he was amused slightly at being caught out by Zarina |

| Zarina barked a laugh, her tail swishing madly. "I got you good!" she said and laughed again. She bent down to help Talon up, giggling slightly. "I was just exploring Baylisk and spotted you. I thought I'd have a bit of fun. What are you doing out here, anyway?"

| Zarina sat down next to him and looked out over the ice like she was expecting something to be different. It was as barron as before. Her gaze wandered back over towards the beach. Plodding back in their direction was the same white polarbear. He strolled a few meters infront of them then stopped, eyes fixed on the ice. Suddenly, it reared up and smashed it's front paws down. It did it again. And again. A crack sliced through the air. one more slam of paws released a crunch and the bear pulled it's icey, wet paws out of the hole it had made. It sat back to wait. Nudging Talon and nodding in the polar bear's direction, Zarina whispered "What is it doing? Why make a hole in the ice you're stood on? I've never seen any animal do that before." |

| The polarbears gaze fell on a shadow beneath the ice. The shadow wriggled it's way towards the newly made hole. The bear stood up, poised and ready. a nose burst up out of the water and exhaled, sending a spray of water - and probably some nasal fluids - into the air. The polar bear didnt hesitate. It lunged for the nose, snapping it's jaws around it tightly. It used it's mouth and its paws to haul a thrashing grey animal from the water. The bear bit down on the animals's neck and it stilled. As the bear began to eat it's prize, eyes watching the two wolves for any advances, a layer of red coated the ice and the polar bear's fur. After leaving some meat on the remaining bones, it walked away, full for now. Zarina sat in silence for a few seconds. "Wow." she sighed, releasing a breath she hadnt realised she was holding. "I have got to try that!" With that, she bounded over to the hole. |

| Talon chuckled at Zarina's eagerness "you do know it might be a while till you find some prey dont you?" he padded forward lightly making sure not to make any noise otherwise there definately would be no prey |
