| HALDORI HUNTING GROUNDS Circled protectively by the rocky, fir-covered slopes of the mountains, these lush, green-grassed hunting grounds are home to many hooved animals, such as deer and moose. The rut and birth of the deer is held here, as well, despite the threat from predators. Scadi and Kirini wolves spend most of their time here, planning and perfecting hunting strategies, new and old, watching their prey's behavior along with taking in the weather, and planning their next hunt. Kuires and Yunns who want to be a Scadi or Kirini one day also are frequent visitors here, often talking with and helping the trackers and hunters of the pack; some are even lucky enough to receive a lesson on tracking and hunting by the experts themselves!
When the sun is out and shining, bright as can be, many wolves, hunters and trackers or not, often come and stroll here, especially when the flowers are in bloom. The large expanse of meadow is always very fragrant and fresh-smelling, and it draws them in like birds to seed; many yunns take the pups to play in the long grass. A noticeable thing pups always seem to do here, though, it jump over the sea of green, rock to rock. It actually gave the Kirini the idea of chasing prey towards especially rocky areas of the field, causing them to stumble or trip, perhaps fall. So, you see, even pups help provide for the pack! |

| Coming to a stop at a flat, sun warmed rock, Zarina lay down on it to watch the movements of the game that gathered in this large expance of lush green. Wanting to get a head start on Kirini training, she came to observe and learn the actions and habits of these hoofed animals, grazing without appearing to be taking notice that a predator was lying amongst them. Drifting into a daydream, Zarina picured different ways of creeping up on a particularly close herd of deer. |

| Talon sweeped through the tall grass, he padded up to a slope where there was a rock hat made a decent lookput, he could se everything from here, he smiled at the warmth the rock gave as a result of the sun pelting down on it, i gazed around and smile slightly as i see Zarina enjoying herself, i spot the prey and stalk down from the slope heading to Zarina to see if shes intrested in hunting |

| As Zarina was concentrating so hard on mentaly hunting the deer, all her senses were captivated, including her sense of smell. Because of this, she did't see Talon aproching. When the herd walked behind Talon, her mind snapped back to reality. Surprise at seeing a higher ranking wolf triggered instinct; Zarina found her ears flattening against her head and her tail patting the rock, itching to slip between her legs. "Sorry, Talon. I didnt see you coming." |

| Zarina forced herself to relax and stood. Strechting out her aching muscles, she jumped off the rock and walked over to Talon. She followed his gaze. She wagged her tail "Yes I'd love to!" her tail stilled. "But... I've never actually hunted big game before, only small prey like rabbits with my parents..." Pup-hood memories of huntling lessons flashed before her eyes. When they subsided, she continued "My parents never let me hunt large prey. They always said the pack would provide for me. And they had, until I left." She looked at Talon. "Will you teach me? I know the basics, but I'm sure that's not enough." |

| Zarina ran after Talon, excited to be finaly hunting proper game. She mimiced his crouch and tested the air with a few flicks of her head. They all smelt normal, with a hint of the sweet grass they were grazing. She focused instead on what she could hear. Rasping breaths came from one side of the herd; Zarina flicked her ears in that direction. Looking towards the sound, an elderly doe lagged behind the herd slighty. "There, behind the herd. It's elderly and doesn't breath well." She began to slink around the herd in it's direction. |

| Zarina had positioned herself to the left of the doe to split it from the herd. Talon launching forward was her signal to move and she kept him in sight from the corner of her eye. The herd shifted forward yet the doe hadn't noticed and continued grazing. |
